The BOP Pontiac alternator bracket works on almost any Pontiac engine/head combination. With the C-ring flipped up or down and with up to 3 possible mounting locations on the cylinder head this bracket provides extreme mounting flexibility. While a bolt on in most cases non stock alternator drive pulley location can be accommodated by simply trimming spacers. Bracket design will fit most factory Pontiac V-8 heads as well as most aftermarket head designs. Mounting ring is stainless steel and spacers are anodized for maximum durability. Bolts are grade 8 and corrosion resistant coated. Perfect for electric water pump and BOP belt drive applications.
The most accurate way to trigger the ignition the MSD flying magnet crank trigger uses four magnets secured in the aluminum trigger wheel that pass by a stationary non-magnetic pick-up to trigger the ignition. This flying magnet design produces accurate trigger signals and the non-magnetic pick-up cannot be false triggered. Each flying magnet crank trigger includes a two-piece mounting bracket for the non-magnetic pick-up that in most cases will work on either the passenger side or driver's side of the engine The CNC-machined aluminum bracket is slotted to provide a wide range of timing adjustment. Spacers are included so you can mount the bracket on engines with standard motor mounts or engines with a .25 In. motor plate. Solid roller and hydraulic roller cams are made from steel cores rather than cast iron for hydraulic flat tappet cams. The traditional fix for this was to run a sacrificial bronze gear which failed in short order. BOP Engineering's ultimate distributor/oil pump drive gear for the traditional Pontiac V-8 is crafted from a propriatary carbon composite, this gear replaces worn bronze distributor gears and are a must for any roller cam or cast iron cam, especially with higher pressure oil pumps. Do Not confuse these with melonized gears. Melonizing is a surface treatment that will wear off quickly. There is no comparison. These straight rocker studs are used when converting from the stock Pontiac "bottleneck" studs to adjustible valve train. When replacing factory screw in studs the ARP135-7102 studs 7/16-14 x 1.900 studs are used. When replacing press in studs the ARP290-7201 studs 1/2-13 x 2.000 studs are used . The 1/2-13 bottoms allow the head to be tapped without using heli-coils, but may require shortening. A must for any adjustable valve train when using non-stock camshafts.
