Alternator Kit -The BOP Pontiac works on almost any Pontiac engine/head combination. Three possible mounting locations on the cylinder head provide extreme mounting flexibility. While a bolt on in most cases non stock alternator drive pulley location can be accommodated by simply trimming spacers.. Bracket design will fit most factory Pontiac V-8 heads as well as most aftermarket head designs. Mounting ring is stainless steel and spacers are anodized for maximum durability. Bolts are grade 8 and corrosion resistant coated.

Pontiac V- 8 Roller Cams Cores
Custom cam cores allow any profile to be ground including RA V's, extra wide lobe separations, 4 cylinder, and altered firing order applications. Cams can be ground for a stock (1.900") or an oversized bearing journal (1.970"). Oversized cam journals have several advantages including, smoother transition profiles and ease of installation for large lobes. Oversized journals require needle roller bearings in the cam tunnel which replace the factory friction bearings Cams are supplied with gear and copper plating ready to be ground. All cams are supplied with the standard size distributor drive gear

Needle Cam Bearings
Torrington 50 mm (1.970”) caged needle bearings for use with
the oversize journal BOP camshafts. Commonly used in NASCAR and NHRA
Pro Stock, these bearings replace the factory friction bearing and
require boring of the cam tunnel. Needle bearings provide superior
wear characteristics, reduced friction over factory style bearings,
and require no honing of the ID to fit.

® Main Seals-With the mandated removal of asbestos from the factory type rope seals, increased leakage has become commonplace. To address this problem BOP Engineering has designed a rear main seal for the traditional Pontiac V-8's. These seals are not a retrofit from some other engine, but designed from a clean slate using state of the art technology and the best materials. Testing has shown a significant reduction in drag over the factory rope seal, and no leaks! Available in both 3 main size 301 - 400 engines and small journal aftermarket blocks, and for 3 1/4" main size 421 - 455 engines and large journal aftermarket blocks. Do not be fooled by Imitations!
